Services
We perform mold inspections, mold testing, protocols for mold cleaning, mold abatement, mold remediation, mold removal as well as indoor air testing, odor detection, water testing, well testing, septic testing, EMF testing, and more exotic substances such as formaldehyde, volatile organics, allergens and bacteria.
We offer complete, one-stop shopping. Rather than call several different agencies for different tests and services, we do it all. We provide the major services in determining the safety, and actual condition of the property: The Mold Testing Assessment, the Mold Remediation Protocol, the Home Inspection, and the Environmental Tests.
Mold Testing Assessments
Mold can cause serious health problems, some of which may be permanent. What is critical is not whether there is mold in the house, but the quantity and type of mold found. A large quantity is dangerous while a small quantity is not.
Contrary to popular belief, mold cannot be identified visually or by odors. What looks like mold can turn out to be carbon, bacteria, yeast, dirt, fibrous particulate or other things. Moldy smells may turn out to be just wet paper or wood. Yet mold may be present in dangerous quantities when there is no smell or visual evidence.
Our mold assessment consists of taking air samples with a special machine and taking swabs of any visible mold-appearing material and having the samples analyzed in a lab. We then issue you a detailed yet easy to understand report. If there is a mold problem, we will guide you through what needs to be done to get rid of it and keep it from ever returning.
Our mold testing page will inform you in more detail of this process.
Quality of Service
We provide prompt, courteous service with little touches like cleaning our shoes before entering a home, and leaving a thank-you note to the seller. Our inspectors are neat and friendly and take the time to answer all of your questions. They adhere to the strict code of ethics and professional standards as designated by the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), and the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI).
Certified Inspections utilizes state-of-the-art inspection devices such as moisture detectors that find moisture behind walls by using radio waves, carbon monoxide detectors, electrical current analyzers, air vacuum pumps for mold, and many others. This makes for quicker, more accurate inspections.
It is our aim to provide you with concise, important, relevant information you need to know when determining the price and desirability of a home. We do not overanalyze, or tear apart every insignificant detail in order to impress you with our “vast resource of knowledge.”
